A random thursday night with Lady Vee:12 k Baby!
Confession:Blogging once a week just isn't cutting it for me! LOL But I don't want to commit to more and can't keep up, so every so often you may just get one of these random posts!
Anyhow, I am thrilled to share that I ran 12k today! It took me about 90 minutes! What a victory, considering I only started running consistently about a week and a half ago! I am very proud of myself. (insert Lady Vee Victory dance here) I have always been a runner, but never long distance. I am a sprinter...."why exhaust yourself with jogging when you could walk faster?', I always thought! Well that because I was lazy, lol and had no idea how much fun jogging really is!
On another note:
I am reading this book called Questioning Evangelism and I wanted to share an exert from the Book "How to Win friends and influence People" By Dale Carnegie.
1. Don't criticize, condemn, or complain.
2. Give honest, sincere appreciation.
3. Arouse in the other person an eager want.
4. Become genuinely interested in other people.
5. Smile.
6. Remember that a person's name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
7. Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
8. Talk in terms of the other person's interests.
9. Make the other person feel important - and do it sincerely
This guy wasn't saved, but I have to say he was on to something! Keep these things in mind when dealing with others and you will be sure to see the fruit of your labours!! I realize I do this without really thinking about it, but one I want to work on is "talk in terms of the other persons interests"
Luv Ya!

Love your heart for people Vee! And it's so cool how loving people well can influence them for Christ-just giving them our attention and remembering a name can open up a door for many conversations to lead to Christ.
